okay i am a wee bit confused here, there are 3 sections to the SAT and 4 to the ACT, we all hopefully know that by now.

SAT
Math, Critical Reading, Writing

ACT
Math, English, Reading, Science

my question is which sections match with each, meaning does the SAT Critical Reading section match with the ACT English section, or does the SAT Critical Reading match with the ACT Reading section? Thanks!

i personally thought that SAT CR = ACT English, and SAT Writing = ACT Reading.

i dont know if that is right because on my virignia tech application it lists my SAT Scores for Math and CR, and then only my ACT scores for english and math

i hope that SAT CR= ACT Reading because I did like a lot better on ACT Reading than ACT English

What colleges do vary. Those that do comparisons may just compare composite but a number will compare subscores and usually when they do so it is math to math and ACT English to SAT CR.

Hmm based on what they test... its CR = ACT Reading since they both envolve reading passages and answering questions on them and Writing = English since they're both mainly composed of grammar questions.
