ACT send scores deadline?

I got this email:

"Thank you for registering for the SEPTEMBER 2010 NATIONAL ACT test. There is still time for you to list up to 4 colleges and scholarship agencies to receive your scores at no additional charge.

The deadline to add colleges, make changes, or cancel reports to colleges and scholarship agencies is 12 noon, central time, on the THURSDAY immediately following the regularly scheduled Saturday test date. Requests for changes or cancellations after this deadline cannot be honored, and you will have to pay additional fees to add score recipients after the deadline."

So I assume this means the thursday of september 16th.

My question: If it is the 16th, I wont get to find out my scores before I send them right? Does anyone here have any experience with the free score sending? How does this work?

Just choose which four colleges you want to send your score to. You won’t find out what your score is by then, but at least you get to send it to them for free. If you wait, you have to pay.

Depending on the types of schools you are applying to and your financial situation, I usually feel it is better to see your score first before blindly sending it out to schools. Once it is sent out, there is nothing you can do if you end up not being happy with your score on/around Sept 27th.
