ACT: Some Scores Won't Be Available Until the End of January

I called ACT yesterday, asking why my score can't be viewed online, and I was told by a rather rude lady that scores will be updated every Wednesday and Friday and that some scores might not be available until the end of the January!

Granted, the lady could have told me this as a generic response or just to make sure I don't call again asking about the late scores, but the end of January is ridiculous! I had hoped to be able to check my score online before the registration for the next test is due, but I clearly won't be able to do that at this rate.

From past experience, ACT scores have never taken this long to be posted online. I think ACT is having problems and doesn't want to let anyone know about it.

Ya, I'm experiencing similar trouble. My previous ACT results had been posted promptly. However, now it seems like a lot of scores are being delayed.

same.....i need 2 have those scores...at least by the beginning of january

Scores ALWAYS take up to seven weeks. ACT says 4-7 weeks on their website and I believe also in their registration materials.

Of course, only a very few scores ever take that long.

But not to view online. I am talking about online scores, not mailed scores.

Mine came in today!!!!!

Mine are still unavailable.

Yes, even to view online. Scores are available online and are mailed at the same time (unless they are waiting for writing, and it took up to seven weeks even before writing was offered).

did any1 who took the writing section receive their test yet?

When you guys didnt get your scores did you see this message.
"We do not find a Registration record for the national administration you selected. To verify Registration, please contact our customer service representatives at ACT Registration: 319/337-1270 (8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. central time Monday through Friday)."
Or do i have a completely different problem!?

i took the writing section and i got my scores early online, without the writing score.

Yes, you have a totally different problem. You should contact ACT immediately.

Check to make sure you are selecting the correct test date, too.

Kiko, that means you are entering different information than what ACT has on file for you. Make sure you are using your ACT ID if you didn't give your SSN, or your SSN if you used it to register OR you put it down on your answer sheet on test day. If you can't get it to work, call ACT at 319-337-1270 to check your information.

I got my scores yesterday w/ writing.
