I am a senior, i will Taking the ACT test next month, the last scores I got is 14 and 16. My school doesn't teach me strategies, and I don't know English very well. When I read the ACT book, I will forget it in the next minute. I turned in my colleges apps, right now This is the last chance I could take the ACT. How matter how hard I am studying, the words don't seem to get into my mind... Does anyone know any strategies that can help, my parents are really concern, they say if i don't get into a university I will be kick out....

Hi! First of all, calm down and sort through your options. The fact that you’re a senior and this is the last time you can re-take the ACT, don’t expect your score to suddenly skyrocket. My best advice is to study regularly, and taking practice TIMED tests. This way, you will be comfortable knowing the time bracket you have.

*All questions weigh the same: when facing a very complicated question, mark it and move on to the next question. Don’t spend all your time on one question when in fact you can finish 5 other easy questions.

*Practice with SAT problems if possible! I find them nearly identical… I think ACT ones are easier…and if you’ve finished taking the ACT practice tests, go do the SAT practice tests on CB.

And what I would say is a good option considering your situation, why don’t you find a university that will accept you with your grades currently? There are always options. Find out what your strong suit is, (sports, leadership, arts, etc) and advertise that to universities even though your ACT scores are weak.

Best of luck!

Thanks for the strategies!!! Here is the summary of myself, and the school I applied so far My school college couch messed up my apps… and I think now it is too late to apply other university.
