I took the ACT last Saturday and I think I bombed. I was planning to un-send my scores to the colleges I'd listed (HYPS) but forgot. I'm devastated. Will a bad ACT score reflect too poorly on me? I'm afraid it will negate my 2300 SAT and make it look like my high score was a fluke. I'm tearing my hair out over this. Help!

Bump

Come on, has anybody else been in this situation??

I wouldn't stress too much. All of us CCers need to learn to chill out once in a while!

Woah woah woah, if you already got a 2300 on the SAT, do NOT send your ACT scores unless you know they are 35/36.

lol TruthSmoker...I agree

Here's a tip for next time... wait 'till you get your scores online/ in the mail before you send the ACT scores. You'll have to pay their fee, but at least you will have the option to send them or not.

According to the ACT threads..I think we all bombed it. Thus, making a better CURVE!!!!!! :)

@excel...which threads are you talking about...i took that act last saturday...and i thought that i did pretty good.....

I actually meant that the science section was tough....besides that it was average.

Well, I checked my scores and i got a 33. Not too shabby, eh? (Excel, I got a 36 on science, surprisingly. I thought it was hard too.)

lol... see you worried for nothing. i thought i bombed it as well, was sick during the test, nearly lost consciousness, and had to guess in almost a quarter of a section... but surprisingly i got 33 too. maybe the trick is to think you bombed the test for an auto 33

Maybe that is the trick -- I did the same thing with the SAT. And my AP tests. I think I have some kind of complex about test-taking. But if it ain't broke, don't fix it. LOL

they'll compare the two and pick the highest and unless your reallllly unlucky and they make a mistake (which happened to a friend of mine) u'll be fine. they selection board won't even see the scores not picked (like SAT II's)

But isnt it a little late to be fretting over applications right now as decisions have been made already?

oh and a 33 is a realllly good score but ur 2300 SAT is still even better :)
