(Note: I also posted this in the "Act Preperation" section, but then I remembered nobody reads that section. Sorry if I broke some double-posting rule)

I finally got the Barrons book (people said it over prepares you, and it is good if you have a couple of months to study) and I plan to take the ACT in April. I am going to try to get at least a 27, and I will probably retake it in September if I don't get the score I wanted, or feel I can do better.

How long per day should I study for? The Barrons book does not always have clear explanations, but the questions seem to show me how much "I really know", so I will need the six months till April.

Also for those who took the ACT and the SAT Subject Test Math I, are they similar? I am going to study separately for the latter, but I just wanted to know if some subjects overlapped.
