I never really had any experience with the ACT before, but I'm thinking about taking it now, but I have one important question which will prob determine if I actually take it or not:

I'm not sure if this is true, but I heard that only your top ACT score is reported to colleges, such as if u first get a 30, then retake and get 36, colleges ONLY see the 36 right, and dont see the fact that you took it twice or the fact that the 30 ever existed? So it means you can take it as many times as you want and colleges will only see ONE score out of all of it without any idea u took it before?

yes, that's right. Butt he thing is, you shouldn't send your score report in before YOU see it, or else they get all your scores, you just send it in separately...

Although the common app has room for three act scores, you don't need to fill it all out- just like how if someone only takes it once, how can they be expected to completely fill it out?
Colleges won't know the difference.

so its there to trick ppl into telling colleges all their scores? lol

Lol... always a possibility.

I guess it could be there for superscoring purposes.
(Although I think WashU's the only school that superscores the act).
