Does MIT consider all sections of the ACT with equal weight? I know both english and math are obviously considered, but neither science nor reading are listed on the admission statistics page (whether nor not that means anything, I'm not sure).

I ask this because some other universities make it clear they look mostly at the english and math sections rather than all sections of the ACT.

So, bearing in mind that scores can't be "unseen", does it make sense to send in secondary test date scores which improve upon reading (like five points better) while showing a somewhat lower performance in english and math, and a substantially lower performance in science? Keep in mind that none of the scores are atrociously bad, they're just not all necessarily "up to par".

The first test date composite also falls around MIT's 75th percentile of admits, while the secondary date falls around the 25th.
