Hello,

If I choose to use my ACT plus Writing, are SAT Subject Tests still recommended? I know they are not required if you take the ACT with Writing as it says on their website, but I want to know if UPenn has a "preference" for individuals who hand in subject tests along with their ACT with Writing.

If so, I didn't do too hot on my World History Subject Test. I wasn't planning on using it anyways and just took it to measure myself, and I know UPenn prefers Math II and Physics for Engineering anyways. Do I have to give UPenn my World History score as well if at all (only if it is preferred to give SAT II along with ACTs)?

Thanks.

SAT II 's are strongly recommended by Penn, even with the ACT.

So they prefer people who hand in SAT II’s over just ACT alone… ? Can I choose which two subject tests I want to show UPenn?

Almost everyone takes SAT II’s, so if you want to be competitive you should take them. You can choose the subjects to take, although as you said, some schools have stated their preferences, like Wharton and SEAS want Math II. I’m not sure if all appear on your report, or you can choose. Check the college board site.

Also, if you are applying to a place like Penn, it’s likely that you will be applying to schools where SATII’s are required. It’s just a good idea to take them if you are thinking about applying to elite universities.

Penn requires that if you send in 1 subject test, you have to send them all.

if I send in 1 subject test, do I have to send sat reasoning test too? or just all subject test?
