So I took the ACT once so far and made a 30. My subscores were 33R/33E/29M/26S. My question is will colleges take into consideration my subscores in relation to my major? I'm planning on doing a poli sci/pre-law track. So I'd figure that M/S wouldn't matter too much. But I don't know. Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Composite for many is key but they do look at subscores and many consider math and English more important than the other two and that equally applies to Poli Sci, i.e., never assume math is not important. Science is actually one that may be given somewhat less importance than others. In fact some schools, such as Gtech and Rose Hulman, consider only math and English score and ignore composite, reading and science (yes, that is correct, those two engineering schools ignore the science score)

Most schools I’ve seen though only want your composites.

I think all colleges are concerned with is the composite score. I know that BYU gives credit for a GE requirement if you get at least a certain score on the math section, but I haven’t heard much about subscores from any other colleges.
