Act Subscores interpretation

I have yet to receive my score for the 13TH ACT. I have heard people saying their subscores and whatnot. Is a sub score how many you got wrong in a specific category. IE 16/18 is a minus two. I just want to know for when i get my scores. Also how are the curves looking, especially for math.

from my understanding, a subscore is a score from a particular section (reading, math, writing, science) For example, if you score a 36, you could have subscores of 35 math, 36 science, 36 reading, and 35 english. I didn’t take the april test so I’m not sure about curves

i know what that is, im talking about the ones out of 18

There are section scores and section subscores. The subscore is based on the number of correct answers but not in a direct linear relation. You cannot tell directly the number of mistakes you made but you usually can take a guess from it.
