Passed my driving test! yea baby! Also wongtong, I’ll send you the ACT’s asap, I don’t know *** happend but my email password is not working this is bad… very bad…

I hope I can have a success story of my own :-
I took the SAT in May this year … Did absolutely horrible.
I just heard about what the ACT was 2 months ago and I signed up for the September test. Maybe I’m not an SAT kind of person. Hopefully I’ll do significantly better on this! :)

So far 2 tests down for studying, 1 test was a 31 with 29 science. the other test was a 32 with 32 science (my best ever) and 29math… I just don’t know…

Got a 31 my first take. Had taken one practice test, that was about all of my prep.
English: 35. Math: 35. Reading: 27. Science: 25. Essay: 8.
Retaking in October. C’mon 33! (and 10 essay)

I bought the Official Red Book and took a practice test. I got a 28. And it was only because I got a 35 on reading out of luck. My science and math were about 25 on that test. I didn’t feel too good.

So a studied a little bit and took another one a few days later. I got a 30. I was pretty happy, but I really wanted higher.

Test day came. I was so nervous. But I had studied. And I knew I would have to go fast! It’s a test of speed. So I take the test. Only to end the last 5 minutes by not answering a whole section of science questions. “Dangit!” I thought. I had ruined my score. I had practiced. I was miserable.

A few weeks roll around and my scores still aren’t available. It was agonizing. Then, finally, I checked on a whim and they were there.

A 31. Not the best, but good enough to be on the lower end of greatness.

*** just ***… 32 on science yesterday… 26 on scienc today. god damit… feel like i’m going to cry… UHHHHH this test is all about getting that lucky test that you know everything on and just own.

28 -> 34 English
23 -> 32 Math
27 -> 33 Reading
21 -> 27 Science

(All in same sitting except for Reading. Got the 34, 32, 27 and a 27 reading in the sitting where I got the 30 overall. Got the 33 on Reading in a sitting between my lowest and highest composite.)

No, some guy was advertising, but he realized he had been caught, so he deleted his post.

As for going from a 28 -> 34, I had no idea how I got a 28 the first time. 34 is waaaaay more accurate as English is my best (ACT) subject. It’s laughably easy for me…

HOW DO PEOPLE IMPROVE THEIR READING SCORES?
Ive been retaking reading sections of ACTs and i havnt really been able to increase my score much from a 26. Can anybody give me some hints or suggestions, it would be a great help.

took a practice test, got a 26. took the real one june before last and got a 30, but i fell asleep during reading. so i took it again last april, and got a 34. 36 reading hell yes.

Well i haven 't taken the ACT yet but im going to be taking it this sept as a senior… last ditch attempt. i’ve been scoring aroond 31-35 on practice tests. scores fluctuate alot. main problem is that im running out of time on alot of sections, not that the content is hard. btw UVA could i see those practice tests too? i’ve run out and could really use them
