I just read on this forum that cornell takes act superscore. am i supposed to superscore the act test myself and report it on the common app, or do i just send all my act test scores to cornell and they take care of it from there?

bump responses plzzz :(

Never heard of this, but if Cornell really does, what a pleasant surprise that would be! My 34 would be a 35 superscored :D

Idk how reliable that is... I've heard from more than one adcom that they do not superscore. I suppose it depends what undergrad coll. you are applying to. I do know however that you would just send in all your ACT scores. Don't calculate it yourself.

the ACT is not superscored

the SAT is superscored

why?
the overall SAT score is a sum of your three parts, therefore a superscore is a reasonable transformation.

the overall ACT score is a geometric average of your four parts, therefore superscoring it does not make any practical sense.

not true to the above person's reply...other colleges such as WashU super-score the ACT as well, so there is a legitimate chance that cornell does the same

washU is one of the FEW that superscores the ACT

here's a possibly reliable source of schools that superscore the act:
Colleges that super score ACT : College Admissions Counseling

you can dream, but that doesn't make it reality.
