So I plan on superscoring my ACT results. Here are my results:

December:
Composite: 29
English: 33
Math: 29
Reading: 24
Science: 28
Writing: 12

February:
Composite: 29
English: 29
Math: 30
Reading: 29
Science:25
Writing: 10

April:
Composite: 30
English: 35
Math: 34
Reading: 22 (yikes, I know)
Science: 27
NO WRITING

So, I think that would average to a 31.5 (would they round that up to a 32?) But my main question is do you think that even with a 32 superscored with a 12 writing score, will it hurt my chances that I got a 22 on reading in April and my reading scores were kind of low? Also, is it okay if there was no writing on April? Like, would I still be able to combine the 12 writing in the superscore?

The superscored results would be:

Composite: 32
English: 35
Math: 34
Reading: 29
Science: 28
Writing: 12

if that helps things at all…

you cant send all 3 act scores with 1 payment i believe so u gotta pay 3 times to send all 3 of those scores

That’s fine. I don’t mind paying to send all 3, but will they accept all 3? And if so, will they look at my inconsistent/incredibly low reading scores, or do they really only look at the highest subscores?

check on the website, not sure

Bump…anyone know if this 22 in reading will hinder me, regardless of the 30 composite and 32 superscore?

Idk man but that’s pretty low…

D got a 22 reading on her second ACT, but everyhting else went up substantially from her first sitting. On the first ACT she had scored a 29 or 30 I think. So we sent it in and hoped schools would ignore the low score and do what they say they do and consider the highest scores from each sitting. Since she got into all 7 schools she applied to including Barnard and NYU, I am going to assume it was a non-issue.

Since you need to send in all three sittings for them to consider your highest scores, I wouldn’t over-think this.
