ACT superscoring - worth it?

Hello,
So I’ve taken the ACT twice and these are the scores I’ve received:

September
Composite:33
English: 35
Math: 36
Reading: 31
Science: 30
(I had issues with time management in the reading session reading and I’m not sure what happened at science since it’s usually a strong point for me, but I’ve seen a lot of people complaining about low science scores on the September ACT)

October
Composite:35
English: 34
Math: 34
Reading: 35
Science: 36

My superscore adds up to a 36. Is it worth submitting both scores to schools that allow superscoring? Will my 36 look weaker than a “pure” 35 because of my low scores on reading and science in my first try?
By the way, I am a girl and an international applicant and I’m applying for Chemical/Biomolecular Engineering so I guess test scores (especially the Math one where I did better in my first try) are kind of important.

For schools that superscore, go for it! Colleges that superscore are basically looking at your highest SUBSCORES from any given date, which means they’re not going to think negatively of you for not getting a pure 36. I would 110% recommend you send both, because you have excellent subscores from both tests. Congratulations, I’m just trying to get a 33!

Absolutely do it. Many schools will give you the 36!
