So I just got my July 2018 ACT scores back. The composite is only one point higher than my last composite, however my superscore is much higher. I have checked all of the schools I plan to apply to, and all of them superscore ACT (minus a few safeties which I could prob get in with a composite). Anyway. My first composite was a 30 (32E, 27M, 28R, 33S). This one my composite was a 31 (35E, 29M, 33R, 27S). My writing score (obviously) has not been reported yet. This makes for my superscore to come out as a 32.5 (35E, 29M, 33R, 33S). And before anyone says it, yes I am retaking in September and going to try and boost my math. Anyway. This super score was averaged by yours truly. I read on ACT that when they average, they round traditionally (less than one half is rounded down while one half and up is rounded up). Does this apply to superscores? Would this then round up to a 33 superscore? Not trying to grasp at straws here but I just want to have a better idea of my current superscore. I am aiming for a 31 in math in sept to bring the superscore up to a 33. Thanks!!
Congratulations on increasing your score. Yes, 32.5 is a 33 superscore.
That’s really up to the college. The college decides how to handle superscoring.
