ACT test score help

I'm going to be a senior this coming fall
and took the ACT on June but I need some help and thoughts

so my score...
English: 24
Math: 34
Reading:34
Science:36
Writing:9
Comp:32

I really think I was lucky to get these scores without studying much. I was so into SAT prep, and when it didnt really work out (getting a ook score), other people recommended me the ACT and without much prep I signed up for the ACT. But SAT and ACT concepts are similar so I think I was able to get these amazing score with practically no prep.

Anyways as you can see every score is very good and high except for that stupid english 24. Nowadays i kinda wish I could take like 2 points for math science reading sections and add it to the english because its so bad.

and i look at colleges and their avg ACT scores. Again, math reading science meets the "general cutoff" but english it way off. I starting to worry that the english it just going to kill my chances to getting into a good (maybe ivies) school. My extra cir. is very good i think and my GPA is also very high... but that24..... I going to take the ACT again on SEP but i dont really know if it'll raise it much.

what do you guys think? will that 24 basically ruin my hopes of getting into good schools?

thanks

I have no idea about the lower english score ruining your chances at an ivy, etc. But, you say you didnt’ study much, and with that high reading score, I think you should be able to pull up the english several points with some concentrated review. You just need to refresh on some of the tricky rules that you just can’t go by your ear on.
On a baseline timed practice with no study at all, my D got a 33 on reading, but a 25 on english. Her tutor said that a low english coupled with a high reading was actually promising. Sure enough, just a few tutor session brushing up on the english rules, in June she ended up with reading 32 (down one point…that first passage was tricky!) but english up to 34…thats a 9 point jump.

thanks for the help.
