act test score

i took the acts in october and i still can't get my score... on line, that is.

i was willing to pay that 8 dollar fee to get my score early, but they're telling me they don't have my score yet. and it's been a week already.

now im wondering if i'd even get it through mail.

i think the problem had to do with my act registration number, which i put 001 or something because thats what my proctor said. i thought that your act registration mnumber was your social secuity number, but my proctor said that the rigistration number is the number with the "r" on it. can anyone verify this? because i think this is the reason they're taking so long to get my score.

and how much longer do you think i should wait? and what should i do?

I'm in the same boat!!! It says they don't have my scores either and to wait another week. I'm so freaking mad!!! I called them last week and they said to check back today, but they are still not up. I say that we demand they give us complimentary 36's!!!

Just wait, I know some people who already got thier October Act scores by mail!

LOL! 36's ... I'll second that motion!

According to the ACT website, scores are normally mailed 4-7 weeks after the test date ... or beginning around Nov 20th, since you took it in Oct.

So, no need to worry just yet, I think you'll be fine.

Btw, you're right, your SSN is your registration number (unless you didn't give it to ACT - in that case, they assign you an ACT ID number).

If you tested standby or put your registration number down incorrectly, it may take a little longer, but you should still get your scores.

oh crap, so that is the problem then; my act r was my egistration number is incorrect... i knew it was my social security number but my proctor kept saying it was some number next to the "r"

now i'm getting really worried. because some other girl in the same testing class had the same "registration number." we figured it wax like that because we registered it n the same day and because we live in the same town...

do you think this could be a problem, having the same registration number? would they be able to differentiate mine from her's?

cause i KNOW i did well...

Okay, I dug this up from the ACT website:

"Scores take longer to process if the identifying information an examinee provides is not consistent with the information we have on file. Scores will be delayed until the discrepancy is resolved."

But they don't say HOW it gets resolved. Whether they use your name/address to identify you or what. Typical ACT! (Grrr...)

Have you tried giving them a call? The number is 319/337-1313. (Mon.–Fri., 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. (central time)). This # is to talk about "delayed or missing score reports or to make corrections." So maybe they can help you out with your concerns there.

If it makes you feel any better, I wrote my info down right (I think!) but haven't gotten my report yet either (online or thru the mail)! Flipchick and a lot of others seem to be going through the same thing. Maybe it's just a case of having to survive a few more days of teeth-grinding, hair-pulling, insomnia-inducing ACT anxiety before our scores arrive! lol

Hope this helps you a little. :)

I've gotten mine through the mail, awhile ago in fact. I think it was just 2 days after the first scores were posted online.

I recommend giving them a call.

I got my scores on the 15th. good luck!

I just want to say that I finally got my scores today online!!!!!!!!! I got a 34 which is totally exciting! I had a 32 last time. I went up from a 27 on science to a 34 on science!!! I can't believe it!

I got a 32. flipchick1127, I'm going to take the December ACT hoping to raise my score to a 34. How did you do it?
