ACT Test Submitting

This is what the Yale site says about ACT score reports. "You must report the scores of all of the SATs and SAT Subject Tests or all of the ACTs and ACT Writing Tests that you’ve taken. If you choose to fulfill the requirement with SAT scores, then it’s not necessary to send any scores from the ACT, even if you’ve taken the ACT. If you choose to fulfill the requirement using the ACT, then you don’t need to send us any SAT scores unless you wish to do so. Whichever type of test you choose, you must report all your scores from every time you’ve taken that type of test. And if you choose to use a combination of SAT and ACT test results, you must report all scores from both agencies."

My question is, if you took the ACT without the writing test, do you have to send it to Yale? Yale requires you to have an ACT writing test for admission, but you cannot just use a regular ACT score. I took an ACT with the writing test and one without one. I am just wondering which ones I have to report.

Both

Not sure how much more clear Yale can be. You need to submit ALL, yes BOTH scores, the one without writing and the one with writing!

@lotusg‌ Thanks for the clarificication!

@gibby, perhaps it’s a generational thing. I find it nearly as clear as possible, but the question is asked often enough that there must be something unclear about it.

My suggested re-write:
“If you send us any SAT scores, you must send us all of your SAT scores.
If you send us any ACT scores, you must send us all of your ACT scores.”

And then maybe something about how they will take the best view of your scores possible.

Actually, I think Yale could be clearer if they said “We super-score, so send us each and every ACT score, including those with and without writing.”
