ACT Test Today Evaulation

What did you think of the test?

I went in with no preparation...math and writing seemed too easy, but I found the science somewhat difficult. I didn't really feel like I had enough time on any of the sections.

ya me neither i guessed like 5 at least on each section.. except the 3rd test

i was a little rushed
math and science i guessed on the last of them

no clock in classroom !argh

bring a watch....your fault that you weren't prepared

hey idiot i had a watch, just it is easier when there is one clock the proctor is basing everything off instead of guessing when 40 minutes are up

can we talk about the test in detail?

wow that would suck terribly if the classroom didnt have a clock

I don't really feel bad for the guy....I mean isn't it common knowledge to never depend on the proctor? I thought it was at least...I still don't feel bad one bit.

What was some of the questions you got confused on? List the questions as your remember them because I forgot.

I was confused on the last couple of the math...

I skipped around a lot. I read reading in this order: humanities, prose, social studies, science. I don't know if that helped or hurt me, but it gave me enough time which I was grateful for.

Science Reasoning I skipped the set with the three passages, going back to it at the end. I'm terrible at the science passages, so I knew I'd either spend too much time on it and do mediocre or spend a little time on it and risk it.

I had maybe 15 extra minutes on English... and math I was going at a GREAT pace, but the last five or so questions I was confused on.

yea, I had some extra time on the english too. [what was up with the honeybee passage? that was stupid/boring]
yet, i felt rushed in math, and usually that's my strongest test. compared to the practice ACTs i've taken, this math was difficult/time-consuming. the problems took more time because they had answers to every screw up. reading and science were okay, better than usual.

LOL @ the honeybee passage.

I'm an editor on my school paper and honestly, I found so many things that I would've changes that weren't underlined. And for some English questions I just didn't like any of the choices. Blech. In the horse-riding passage there was that question in the beginning about Amil (I think?) raising cattle or whatever... yeah... that question was so weird to me.

English-Did good on, it was easy.
Math-Awful, didn't get done, and it seemed harder then normal.
Reading- Didn't finish, but pretty easy.
Science, Easy, but didn't finish there either.
Writing- Easy as usual.

didn't like that last passage in the science section.

English- easy
Math- harder tehn usual
Reading- same as always
Science- meh same as always

Guys don't stress over the math. too much... Usually if it's really hard there ends up being some score inflation. Well, that's been my experience the four times I've taken it... :X

I thought the math was easy (usually the first 30 questions are a breeze, this time the last thirty were). The reading was surprisingly quick and easy. The english--my best section--was a bit odd, especially one question on the noise pollution passage. And the science was a race, nothing new. Does anyone remember the "fighting scientist" passage. I've been trying to figure out how i did on sciece, but i cant remember that passage.

what was the answer to the question on the math section about the reflection (or translation - don't remember) of the function about y=x ? I was SOOO confused on that. i chose B (which was basically a flip over the x axis.

In order of difficulty (least to most) for me

Essay
Writing
Math
Science
Reading

I really REALLY screwed up on the reading; I took wayy too much time on the first passage and just decided to skim through and try to find answers since there was like 5 minutes left for the last 2 passages :-(.

The science was really easy, but I started to not care toward the end, which could hurt me, and I also didn't have much time here.

I guess I'll have to take it again come October...

I had the same feelin as you towards the end of the science passage.
