ACT test

Please help im currently a junior in high school and i need to at-least get a 28 on the ACT, i have a 3.9 GPA and i'm taking very rigorous courses... however last year as a sophomore i took the ACT twice and the first time a got a 19 and the second (after prep course and studying) i got a 20. What am i doing wrong. Alot of my not so bright friends do amazingly on the test. I usually run into time issues and i don't know how to fix it. please help, thanks

Time yourself taking a practice test and see how long each section takes you. From there, gradually cut back on that time until you can comfortably finish a test with the amount of time you would be given on test day.
Also, just waiting a while before you take the test again will help a lot.

thanks i think that’s a good idea i get pretty good scores on the practice tests but i get really stressed out on test day and just can’t stick with an answer

i have the same problem!
i got a 22 first time i need at least a 28! im taking the test again this september!
So hopefully i score better!

there must be a trick! cause the questions seems pretty easy its just the timing and exam tricks!
good luck

thanks kimiaclaudia you to! it’s just i was always taught to take all the time on tests. When i look at the actual test the questions are easy it’s just i’m not used to doing things fast
