ACT - The Aftermath

I took the ACT today and it definitely was NOT the box of chocolates that I thought it was going to be. The math and English was easy but science ad reading tore me a new one. They started the reading with a story that I literally had no clue what they were talking about and the science...it was a hit mess. Soooooo, I was wondering if, when you took the ACT, it was what you were expecting or if you were taken by surprise like me.

What Form Code did you have, out of curiosity? And did you take it today for a special reason (such as rescheduling)?

Err…don’t really remember the form (60 something-or-other) and yes I took it today. My school made it mandatory for all juniors to take it.

As a junior, I took the ACT three times.
Because I had taken ACT practice tests previously, I wasn’t actually as surprised. The weird thing is, the first two times I thought I did really well, but I ended up doing okay, and the third time ended up being the best one, although I thought I did bad. I had to take it at this really bad school where I was literally 2 inches from another student, the classes were small, people were being loud and talking outside the classroom, I was sick, other people were sick and had runny noses, and I couldn’t concentrate. And somehow I got a 30, which was my best score.
It was unpredictable for me…

Wow! That’s great especially under those conditions. Hopefully I’ll get a 30 so I qualify for Bright Futures. It’s crazy to think that we’re both juniors and you taken it three times (this was my first).

I took the ACT like 4 times, my highest composite was a 31. But each test had only 1 of my best scores; so on one I got a 30 in English, on another I got a 33 in Math, in another I got a 34 in reading, and in another I got a 32 in science. For reading if you try to over analyze one passage you will run out of time and get a bad score, in science you just need to do practice tests to improve. I am really bad at English so I didn’t do to well on it.
