ACT Time Extension Questions

Hi im applying for the time extension on the SAT due to ADHD, I was curious as to how long the whole process typically takes in terms of recieving the time extension approval. I would also like to know how difficult the whole process is. I know it requires a diagnosis by the appropriate professional, but what other documents/writing do I need.
Thanks!!

I don’t think that’s severe enough to get a time extension. A lot of people have ADHD.

LOL, I wouldnt be asking the question had I not researched it. Read the ACT website, than get back to me. …

bump bump bump

Hey, I sent in at the end of June and will let u know when i hear back

What did you get the extension for, I talked to them and they said they will try and get it done by the test you registered for. Im applying for it due to ADHD which my friend recieved, the only thing is I didnt use a school plan for it because I didnt know we had one. Thats what my personal statement is going to say. And I have the tests from when I was 12 and I’m getting another diagnosis to sell my case better

Our experience is as long as you have an IEP in place it should not take any time at all. My D’s school sent in IEP, copy of testing reports to confirm disability and it should not take much time at all. If you have received extended time for official testing, ie PSAT you should already be on record and all the school has to do is verify you continue to receive extended testing services. We did this for SAT’s ACT and AP exams.
