ACT Today

Did anyone else take the ACT today? Are we allowed to discuss it yet?

I took it.

I took it. We can't discuss specific questions yet. My essay sucked.

What's the waiting period?

Sooo much better than the SAT. Didn't know that you couldn't use a TI-89 on the math, so I did it without a calc and still finished before everyone around me, hopefully those years of long division paid off.

ya, I took it, and I think I did really bad, like a 24

anybody know what they would do if there was a 5 min fire alarm during the writing test and we had to evacuate?

I thought I did really well on math and grammar, but then I didn't finish the reading comprehension section and guessed on the last ten questions. Anyone else have that problem? Then on the science section i was paranoid about not having enough time again and couldn't concentrate so my score probably sucks

Yeah, I thought Math and Grammer were pretty easy, but screwed up big time on Reading and Science. Just like jwcccal I was paranoid about time and ended up rushing.

I took it, I thought math and eng. were easy too. The essay was really easy. The reading was tough, I don't think 35 mins. is enough time. Science, wasn't bad. I think I did pretty well altogether.

Readng Was Crazy
So Much Harder Than Before

I just noticed that a Math Question on today's test was directly taken from the new The Real ACT Prep Guide. Now I know I got one Math question correct. :)

Do you know when we can begin discussing specific questions?

Reading was definately harder. I've never run out of time on the practice exams but I had to fly through 2 passages with the "5 minute" warning. (Usually I have time to check the ones that I'm unsure of too...so the scores should be interesting for that section...)

I think I did really well on the first two sections and pretty decent on the science. On the reading I guessed on a lot of the questions on the articles that I did finish and didn't even finish reading one of them so I bubbled in like 5+ questions with 30 seconds left. I smell a retake in June. My prediction: without reading = 32; with reading (overall) = 28.

A question for anyone who has used the early score service. It says scores for the MC will be available on April 19–21, 2005. If I check April 19-20 and it's not there, do I get charged the $8? Or do I only get charged if my scores are there? I'm asking because I remember reading that if you check your scores 2 weeks after the test and then again like a month later, you get charged $8 each time.

I thought it was SUPER easy. The only hard thing for me was the science, because I almost ran out of time. I was literaly just finnished marking the bubble when the proctor said to shut the books

In fact, I kind of enjoyed it. I thought it was fun. Maybe I'll take it in June even if I'm happy with my score

Reading was much harder I think...just odd questions
English was a joke (as always)
Math was ok
Science was kinda dumb...I didn't use some of the graphs, a lot of the answers you could get even without them.

Same problem...I was doing good halfway on math & all of a sudden it became really hard. Reading didn't finish (10 questions left). Science, I had to look really quick @ info, and answer question. English I did good on. My essay....I don't know. I'm so nervous, this was my first time taking this test, and I think I did bad.

I thought it was pretty easy all the way through. Just freakin long, I don't know why anyone would take it for fun
