ACT Today

what book are you guys talking about? i used PR, and it was OK, i guess. but if there's an official book...hell, i would have used that!!!

I screwed up on the math, I missed at least 4 :( English So probably a 29 on math. bummer.

maybe they sold out, or you have a smaller b&n, but here there were mutlipe copies of it :p

it's called the official guide to the ACT

-4 = 29? How....?

@fruita, they tell me there's an official ACT guide by the ACT test makers. I used Barron's. Or, 'used' isn't the right word for it. Took the diagnostic, half of the first practice, and read it over the night before. Or skimmed a few parts, rather.

LEAST is the key word. Those are only the ones I've verified on cc. I didn't study as much as I should've.

Ah...at least :) But still, a 29 corresponds to something like a 700, no? And the SAT math has fewer questions.

I'm being conservative in my estimates so I'm not disappointed (imagine thinking you got a 36 and really getting a 30. both good scores, but the disappointment). Math is not my forte lol. I'm hoping for a 30 math, but who knows?

Yeah, math not my forte either...oh well. Pray for a 30 on math, maybe high twenties, i KNOW my writing will easily offset that. Reading should be solid (dunno why you guys had a hard time?) Science will be the kicker haha. darn clouds.

ahhhhhh I died on the dew point. I'm the exact same as you lolok, english super high, reading pretty high, may praying for 30, and I have no idea about science.

honestly i didn't look at the graphs on the clouds once, except for the question about city C. All i used was when due point = temp, u get clouds...

that's what I did too, I only used the graphs for city c question. I'm afraid I missed 1 of the last 5 because I was in such a hurry to finnish. alas.

alas! hooray that someone did the same thing as me though. This kid next to me was like WHOA MAN those graphs were tough to read, thank god i understood them. i was like...yeah...thank god.

They were so confusing, I felt like I was on my first day as a meteorologist who had never studied it before

lol the graphs were absurd. They didn't really tell you anything

I can't wait 7 weeks for my results. I really hope it doesn't take that long

You can get it online. You also have to pay.

I doubt my dad will want to pay $8 though. I'm going to try to convince him though.

Meh, I'm just going to wait for the score. I can wait. I probably want to wait, anyways.

hehe patience is not a virtue I was born with

The ACT was much more difficult than I expected, but I finished all the sections but science. I agree with everybody else. The science this time was killer. I had 1minute left to answer three of the blood questions. It didn't happen. Also what is a radian? I haven't covered it in Algebra 2. I'm definitely retaking in June. Does anybody know what score is at the 99.9% of the high school population? My state's full tuition scholarship program requires a score around there.
