ACT Today

I put yes for the essay... I also put "because teachers will prepare more for their classes, students will have better understanding" lol
I couldn't think other than that

I thought science and reading was hard, too!! I'm so glad that I'm not the only one!! I skimmed through reading and science, but i didn't have any idea what they wanted to say (lol)

I thought we were never allowed to discuss the writing portion

what did you guys think about the February 12 ACT versus this recent ACT?

this was my first (and praying for only!) act

Why not? if I need to, I guess I can delete the post...

I personally liked the science section. the dew point thing was horrible but the blood one was something I learned in AP bio last year and had seen one too many times so i was like yes!!!!
The math section was hard for me and I didn't finish it ( 5 questions)
the reading one, the passage on politics...oy vay.
the english was easy.
i'm upset about the essay. I always finish the sat essay with time to spare and i didn't finish and i had five more minutes!!! It was also a topic i had in the 8th grade and 9th grade for state testing.
oh well

didn't anyone else's proctor say the writing could never be discussed?

The writing can't be discussed? Meh. I don't remember what I wrote anyways. I have forgotten it with a rapidity that is remarkable.

my proctor didn't say anything about discussing, i finished essay with like 7 mins left.

my proctor very specifically said we could never discuss the writing section (and writing only). weird that no one else's did.

why would it matter? Although i had that same topic on the writing assessment this year in the fall, maybe thats why?

that's probably why, it's easier to prepare ahead for an essay than for a zillion mc questions if they repeat them, which I don't know if they do or not

What about the light house questions and the descending angle? The choices were like:

Cos 155/500
Sin 155/500
Sin 500/155
Tan 155/500
Tan 500/155

I didn't know that one. That was the only one I guessed on.

Well celebrian25, some the repeat because one of the problems on the test was the exact same as a problem in the Real ACT practice book.

Yes as I said in an earlier post:

If you have "The Real ACT Prep Guide", go to page 306, Question 12, it might look a little familiar

Whatd u guys get for the one...in science...where it was like if the bonding between HB and w/e were reduced as temperature was reduced does this graph accurately reflect this phenomnen? I put, No, because as temperature increases the concentration of HB decreases.

*not as temperature was reduced but as it was increased...sorryy

It was one of the tangent. I forgot which was the y and which was x.

yea it was def one of the tan ones...i think 150/500 cuz 150 was the opp side?....
but yea i thought science was impossible to get through..i had no time to even try to understand the dew point/clouds part so i really just had to leave it and fill in random bubbles for the questions i had no idea on..it was my first time taking it so i didnt really know what to expect..

math and english were really easy..reading comp was hard to get through..does anyone remember questions on the part about the government? that passage took up SO much of my time so i hardly had any time to get through the last passage on the egg...

really hoping to get a 31 this time around but ill probably take it again, considering i probably BOMBED science so my score is gonna suck
