What other board? Are you cheating on us? =) No but seriously what other board, I wanna know..

I've said it before, the ACT is a much better test fundamentally. Rather than trying to mislead and trick students like the SAT does, the ACT attempts to measure your "acheivement", which is your academic knowledge from classes, not your innate aptitude for standardized test taking. I have taken both tests and, although I scored similarly on both tests, I greatly prefer the ACT. Plus they let you choose which test score to send to colleges if you take the ACT more than once.

julyinoh,

I saw this on the College Search and Selection board on CC.

Or is this all just one big board with a bunch of subboards?

I am on other boards, but they are for homeschoolers. Is this cheating :)

Hehe I suppose I understand =)

And I'm rooting for the ACT!

Are there any colleges that accept the ACT without writing?

I haven't seen this list anywhere. But ACT reports there are some. You can look up specific schools at this site --

This does not include all schools, and you would probably do well to double-check with the schools themselves.

thx that website is great. I appreciate it.

"Are there any colleges that accept the ACT without writing?"

Vast majority do not require the writing section, although it is generally being required by high ranked colleges.
