Will a high ACT score [34] make up for low AP scores [two 3's and a 4] and mediocre SATII score [670]??

First, AP scores don't count for admissions, so you don't have to worry there.

Second, it depends on the school. If the school takes the ACT instead of SAT I & II, then yes. If you're still required to send SAT II, then no, but ACT is considered more heavily than SAT II (as is SAT I).

many schools will take the ACT in lieu of both the SAT and SAT II's -- so you might check. Also -- the ACT is definitely more heavily weighted, so that high score is going to count for much more. And -- 670 isn't the worse score, it would be better to break 700 but if the rest of your application is strong (GPS, class rank, rigor of curriculum, ECs) it probably won't hurt that much.

My GPA is 3.77 UW // 4.59 W approx, idr exactly. its def in the high 4.5s
Class Rank = 2/439
All honors/AP classes/independent studies/4 years of language after sr. year
Good, dedicated ECs
Good, dedicated Community Service
No big awards won

ACT= 34
SAT= 1350/2010 [bad i know]
AP = 3,3,4 [worst part of appl.]
SATII= 670bio

So as you see, my academics far outweigh my standardized tests. I'm not applying to HYPS or Ivies. My first chioce is UPitt, which is a public school in PA (i'm instate).
Thanks for the advice =] i feel more confident about my application know that I know my APs wont' play a big role in my admissions.

But you passed your APs. Whether or not they count for admission (and they don't, we know and have established here), they aren't awful.

And your SAT scores aren't that bad either. I think you'll have a pretty good chance at getting into UPitt, probably depending on the selectivity of your chosen major. Application reviewers don't only look at standardized testing scores. They will see that you are dedicated with your extracurriculars and community service...and that you still have the diligence and determination to maintain your GPA and high class ranking.

Just keep going strong and you'll be fine. Assuming you're a rising senior, you could always take the SAT/SAT IIs again to up your score a bit, so that you feel more secure about them. If you DO decide to do that, though, really study and try to improve...because (for me at least) that's a nice big wad of cash to just be throwing out the window...
