no it doesn’t matter what you send them.

I would take the ACTs after SAT IIs and AP Tests are over, so it wouldn’t interfere. I was just wondering if a 36 would mean anything at all since I already have the SATs

only the east coast and cali emphasize the SAT so much.
it’s really weird.
people from all the other states say they’ve taken the ACT more than once and here in the east coast most people do that for the SAT.

I’ve taken both the SATs and ACTs and found that I feel much better with the ACTs. That said, if i choose not to, colleges wont ever see my SAT score?

@BigOrange, I wouldn’t send the 1720 in…

@asdff, with the new score choice, I believe you get to choose if you want to send in the SAT…but I’m not 100% sure…you can check the collegeboard site for details

@Scull, there’s no need…2400 should be enough…colleges look at the best anyways

You have to pay to send scores to colleges. Don’t pay = won’t send.

Here on the east coast even the state schools have strict minimums for SAT’s but the general consencus is that more girls and art-minded people (creative? musical?) do better on the ACT. Is there actual research on this - don’t know but I wish my D had taken the ACT when she had time, so as to at least compare scores.

got 1430/2190 on sats, would anyone also send an act of 32?

I was just at a college info session last night, with five colleges present, and ALL the colleges (three Ivy League colleges included) said they don’t care which test you send in with your application. You get the benefit of your best scores, period.

thanks for your input

Does anyone know if the colleges that say they won’t accept score choice for the SAT also won’t now accept score choice for the ACT? I believe that the ACT has always been score choice? If some schools won’t accpet score choice for the SATs but still continue to accept it for the ACT, wouldn’t it give you more options to use the ACT if applying to these achools?

Also, just wondering, it’s true that colleges ask for AP grades on the common ap?

If you do better on the SAT 1 than the ACT, then does that mean you should only send in your SAT 1 score or is both better?
