ACT VS SAT on College Apps

I've taken both the SAT and the ACT. I scored much better on the ACT. Am I required to put both scores on my college app or can I just put the ACT score?

Thanks in advance

some schools want the ACT with writing, or SAT with 2 subject tests, or SAT only, or ACT with 2 subject tests

figure that out, then choose.

i got a 31 on the ACT and a 1820 on the SAT. I didnt even report my SAT score

Ok sounds good. Thanks for the info.

Also on collegeboard, the pattern of percentages of people who send SAT scores to colleges is way higher than ACT Scores. Is there a reason for this? Do colleges weigh the SAT more than the ACT?

I think at this point the SAT is just more popular. Don’t worry about it though, if a school says it will take the ACT + writing in lieu of the SAT then they will weigh them equally.

I got a 2090 on the SAT and 33 on ACT by the way, and only sent ACT.

if u look at northern states like michigan, the ACT is more popular

its all geographical

Haha yeah I meant nationally.

yeah I never noticed the geographic pattern

that definitely makes sense

I have 2120 sat and 33 act and I only sent in the act to schools. Furthermore, i took sat 3 times and act only once.

^ I hope the same happens to me. I have a 2120 from 4 times taking the SAT, and I have taken the ACT once. :P

Also do you recommend any study books for the ACT with good practice tests? How many practice tests does the red ACT book have? And would you recommend Mcgraw hill and/or pr’s 1296?
