Hello everyone, I have a simple question. This summer is very crucial for me, and I was wondering, which one is more impressive to colleges, SAT or ACT? For an example, I did rather well on my ACT, and I most likely will end with a score of 34+. For a top university and the Ivy leagues, would it benefit me if I took the SAT aswell, but get a score that is worse then my ACT score? Or is submitting the ACT score with SAT II subject tests enough?

I’d like to know too; I’m in the opposite situation - did well on the SAT and will be taking the ACT soon.

I got a 35 on the ACT in one-sitting in December without studying.
I took the SAT afterwards, also without studying…and my SAT score doesn’t quite measure up, with a 2170.
My current inner-debate is whether to submit both, or just the ACT. I’m curious as to whether submitting only the ACT will put me at a disadvantage…you know, possibly make them think that means I didn’t do well on the SAT or something, and the ACT score was a fluke.

Schools don’t technically require you submit more than just the ACT and SAT2s, but perhaps because the ACT is newer and also on a less accurate scale score-wise (1-36 rather than out of 2400), that puts you at a disadvantage.

Its very unclear.
