ACT vs. SAT

My ACT is 33 and my SAT is 2110. Should I submit both when I apply for colleges and should I take subject tests? Or should I only submit my ACT score. I think that colleges up north prefer SAT over ACT so I’m not sure what would be the best decision here.

Schools do not have a preference. That is a myth. Is your ACT with writing? If so, I suggest submit the ACT after checking the specifics for each school. PM Me with any college specific questions, I may already know their policy.

Congratulations on great scores!

With many colleges you could just choose to submit ACT and not take subject tests. However, you will need to check the rules for each college to which you intend to apply because; (a) a small number require you to send both all SAT and all ACT scores; (b) there are colleges that require two subject tests even if you submit ACT; and © there are a number of colleges that recommend but do not require subject tests and they recommend them whether you submit SAT or ACT. Thus, as to the question as to whether you need subject tests, you should be checking the rules now for each college to which you may apply so you can detemrine whether you need them in time to sign up for a testing date.
