ACT vs SAT

Don't underestimate the ACT. It's not as easy as some would have you believe. There is a LOT of time pressure compared to the SAT, the ACT tests some subjects at a higher level than the SAT (e.g., math), the ACT tests some material that the SAT doesn't test at all (e.g., science reasoning) and the curve is harsh. It's also important to remember that the ACT is score scaled just like the SAT. As such, it's not objectively "easier" because your score is still going to be relative to everybody else who takes the test. Last year, only 314 individuals out of the approximately 1,300,000 who took the test achieved a perfect 36 composite score. Those are pretty long odds.

yeah i agree.

SAT is hard in the fact that the questions are very tricky and worded oddly.

ACT is hard in the fact that the timing is so crucial. because you hardly are allowed any.

therefore, if you are taking the ACT do ALOT of practice tests. this will help you get your timing down. i only got a 23 on the ACT my first time because i never practiced and i ran out of time on every section. before the next ACT i took two full length practice tests and many subject practice tests and increased my score to a 29. im taking it on saturday and from my practice tests im sure i will have a 31 to 32

yes also what makes the ACT hard is that there are four very long sections. its easy to lose concentration. ESP. on reading and science, i find.
