ACT vs. SAT

im a junior and received a relatively high score on the old SAT (w/o the writing)a 1500, i have only taken one SAT2 so far, and was going to take the new ACT in june. Im planning on applying early decision to Cornell next year. Im going to take two SATIIs in june, but I'm worried about the consequences of not taking the New SAT as well. On the other hand it seems I do not have enough test dates to re-take either the new SAT or SATIIs if i do poorly.
Most colleges say they will take either new ACT or new sat, but will they prefer the new SAT??.. help me!

if colleges take both they can't really prefer one. Cornell says this about SAT/ACT: http://admissions.cornell.edu/newtests.cfm

I suggest you tentatively pick a college within cornell, find out its requirements are, and make sure you meet them/take the necessary tests. Requirements are at: http://admissions.cornell.edu/apply/firstyear_reqs.cfm

You can request a viewbook and get on their mailing list for an application here: https://admissions.cornell.edu/inforeq/
