Why does it seem like most people are opting for SAT when the general consensus is that the ACT is easier?
Also, is it true that the ACT sci. sect. is basically just reading graphs???? (SERIOUSLY?!!?)

hinderpanda…did you take the May SAT?

The SAT is more well known, hence, more people take it. I found the ACT easier.

If you’ve taken up to grade 11 chemistry, biology, and physics (and did well in all three), there’s no reason why you can’t get at least a 34 in that section. A lot of the concepts and methods of the experiments that they ask you about are explained pretty well and most of the time you’re simply interpreting data.

^ i didn’t take gr 11 physics, that’s why i thought i couldn’t take the ACT
but my friend told me (i know, reliable source - -…) that the ACT was more interpreting data than anything else, and i went on the ACT website and checked out some of the sample questions, and it did seem pretty easy…

@ viggy: yep, i took it yesterday

The science section is more about quick comprehension than actual knowledge of any science facts. Time was so short I had no option but to just guess the last couple of questions, and I’m sure no previous knowledge of any of the concepts would have avoided it. Overall it’s quite easy, but you gotta figure out quickly what they ask you and where on the page to find it.

isn’t the ACT more stressful in terms of time constraints?

^ I finish SAT CR and W sections more than 5 minutes ahead of time, and I run out of time on M sections…T-T
ACT sounds beautiful right now - -

^i finish W and M early, and need like 5 extra min. to finish CR lol…

lol, WRITE MY M SECTION FOR ME XDDDD

WRITE CR FOR MMMMEEEEEE lol.

^ Lol, dress up as me and meet me in the washroom @ the breaks. xDDD

Did anyone plan to/Has anyonehave taken the ACT?

^lol, if it weren’t for CR, i’d be done SATs way sooner, CR will take me forever to prep for to do well.

i think i’m gonna take Sept. ACT

I thought the SAT was slightly easier but did slightly better on the ACT.
Really, there’s not much of a difference in difficulty. I thought the time constraints for the SAT were a bit easier though.
