How are the ACT and SAT different? If most schools only need one of them, should I still take both? I took the ACT and got a 32. I plan to take the ACT again and hopefully I can get at least a 33 after studying a lot. What if I take the SAT and do worse? Is it worth taking?

I thought it was worth taking both. I studied tons for the SAT (months and months) and did really well. I didn’t even think I was going to take the ACT, but did anyway, and did better! You never know, it seems like…

Anyway, the ACT has Science; the ACT essay is optional; the ACT seemed more time-pressed; the SAT seemed trickier (less straightforward); ACT has some trigonometry while SAT doesn’t; SAT has vocabulary questions
