ACT vs the SAT

My sat scores are 600 math, and around 500 for reading and writing
recently i found out about the ACT and i did a prac test and got
30 math, 25 science, 22 English and 21 Reading
24 in total.
i feel more confident with ACT since my vocab level is not that high and it seems easier

do colleges prefer one? or either one will do?

thanks

Both would be alright- your SAT and ACT scores are pretty much equivalent. Try this conversion table- http://professionals.collegeboard.com/profdownload/act-sat-concordance-tables.pdf

My suggestion is always to look closely at the requirements of the colleges to which you’re applying, but in most cases submitting either the ACT or the SAT will be fine, jimyjim. Most colleges and universities accept either.
