ACT w/ SAT II's, is this enough?

I just got my ACT back and was surprised to see my score jump from a 29 to a 34! Looks like Princeton might be on the radar after all! But they require two subject tests, so I took three hoping to maybe do well enough on two (I took this before my ACT).
Math II: 740
US History: 720
Physics: 630

So... How do my SAT II's compare to other applicants? If I have a strong application, how much can these hurt? Should I retake them? I've seen people getting upset over 780s, and I think that is a little bit crazy. Will Princeton put far more weight on my ACT than my SAT II's?

Also, I do not plan on submitting my SAT I (scored a 2040, the ACT is much better.)

Thank you for any help!

ACT 35
SAT IIs 800 Math, 750 chem and waiting on physics

Anything above a 700 is safe, although 750 and above is ideal. Your ACT’s are good though, and congrats on the improvement :).

I would say move on and work on the other parts of your application, but if you are planning on majoring in math or history, I might considering retaking for an improvement.

Thank you for the feedback! On the common app I put I was interested in politics and music (for possible majors), so… I picked USH that way (Math II has become a default with everyone nowadays). I’ll retake them just to try and get it above a 750 so my application can stand out just a bit more. Just to clarify, if I am applying SCEA then I will need to send the scores of the SAT II to Princeton straight from the test (on November 2nd)?

Yes November’s test scores need to be sent directly to Princeton to be considered for SCEA.

Since math has nothing to do with your interests, I’d say a 740 is fine. Retake only if you are really confident that you can improve that score. The USH one might be worth retaking, again if you think you can score better. From what I’ve heard from friends, the USH SAT II is pretty hard to do well on, so think carefully. The time you invest in studying for it again might be better spent on something else.

they’re ok, but many people will have better. I for one, have SAT 2300 + and math2: 800 Bio: 780 Us History: 770

I’m WELL aware many people will have better scores, however, I feel like after a point (like a 34 on the ACT or 750 on SAT IIs) it stops having such a big impact. I’m just concerned about the admissions officer thinking “is this applicant academically ready to attend Princeton?”, in no way are my test scores the best part of my application.

@Cheezit97 your scores are already in the ballpark. Admissions will also consider your course load and any AP’s etc in determining whether or not you are academically ready to attend Princeton.

Alright, that makes me feel better. My guidance counselor and I were talking and she reassured me I took the most rigorous schedule offered at my school, which is honestly not that hard as we don’t offer a ton of the AP courses. On my visit to Princeton, they said they would review my school’s classes to see if I took a rigorous course load. I appreciate the answers everybody!
