Okay, so on the ACT i received a 27 without doing much prep at all. Do you think that its possible to get up to a 33 or so by Oct. with a lot of preparation? Also, I'd like to know how much the writing score would improve my score. Thanks a lot.

do you get your writing score also as a score of 1-36?? how is it graded (like SAT is two ppl give you a 1-6 and then add those up) --do 3 people give you a 1-12 or something?? also, i don't know if anyone would know this, but when can we know our writing scores??? -when they're mailed i geuss?

you can view it online too. but it will be another $8. and theres always the chance that it might not be up yet. i wasted like $64 on the april test because i kept going back to the early scores to see if my writing was up yet.

jenny,
Two people score the essay 1-6 and they add it. If the two people's scores differ by more than one point (e.g., 3 and 5), a third, more experienced person scores it.

You also get a combined English/Writing score based on your English score and Writing score.
