ACT Writing and AP Score Questions

I have took the SAT twice and the ACT without the writing once.

A lot of the colleges I applied have said:

"ACT scores without the writing component cannot be used for freshman admission decisions."

What does this mean? Does it mean that they won't consider my application at all because I didn't take the writing portion of the ACT? Does it mean they just won't look at the ACT scores and just look at the SAT scores? Do I have to take the ACT writing for college admission?

Also, am I required to send AP scores to all the schools I am applying for?

Please help!!!!!!

If a college requires ACT+W and you fail to take the W, it means that they will ignore your ACT score and use your SAT score for admission purposes. If you are happy with your SAT score submit that one only. If your ACT score is a lot better, retake it with W.

I know of no college that requires that you pay CB to send an official AP score report. Just self-report the scores on the app.

Thanks for the info! I’m gonna try to take the ACT one more time before the first score report deadline with the writing portion.
