I recently took the February act and got a composite score of 32. This was a big improvement from the 28s I had gotten on my first 2 attempts. However, on the essay I scored a 23 out of 36 compared to my first 2 ACT’s where I had scored a 10 out of 12. How much does the writing portion of the test affect your application? Do schools like UF and Clemson even look at the writing part?
