I recently received my ACT composite score and my writing score. I got a 33 composite score, but I got an 8 on the writing portion of the exam. Will my writing score greatly hurt my chances for USC? Thanks for your replies! :)

I doubt it. I got a 33 composite, but I believe my writing portion was low too and here I am at USC today :)

Oh, cool! Thanks for your reply; it gives me hope. :)

Did you take or re-take the SAT test? I suggest you compare your scores between the SAT and ACT. Send in your best score (as long as USC accepts the ACT this year).

USC accepts the ACT.

Good to hear. I have a 32 ACT, 36 Reading/34 Math, 10 writing, 29 science, but English was low at 29. It is usage, which I will have to possibly improve to take it in senior year. My score improved from a 29 last time (April/Sophomore year). Interests include engineering, archaeology, history, law school. Any thought about retaking it or if I should do SAT II? Can’t stand any more tests with 4 more AP exams to go.
