So I took the ACT(no writing) recently and got a good score. However, after taking that ACT, I noticed many of the schools I’m considering applying to require the ACT+writing. I’ll be taking the ACT+writing in April. So my question is: if I do poorly on the ACT+writing in April, will that affect me? Or do the collegse still just take the best ACT score? I’m really confused and if someone could explain it to me, that’d be great.
It depends on the college. Some schools will not even consider your score if it’s without writing. So if you got a 32, and then got a 24 with writing, they’d see a 24.
Some colleges are more lenient. You have to check with each school individually.
