ACT Writing Question

I recently took the ACT and got a 34 composite score. I am very happy with my composite, however, my writing score was an 8. I feel like I could have done better on this section, as I am usually a pretty good writer. Is it worth it to retake the test to try to raise this score? How much do colleges look at the writing score? Any advice/info would be appreciated.

anyone…

No it is fine IMO. But it depends on the college.

NO. Schools don’t even list writing scores in their data set.

Nope you’re fine

but some schools consider taking the writing section as another SAT II, and if you’d rather not send that in, then just forget about it.

Thanks for the responses! I was thinking of not retaking it, but just wanted to see what other people thought.
