I had recently received my ACT scores being:
E 34
M 35
R 36
S 29
W 8/12

I was wondering how important the writing section is for admission to schools such as the ivy leagues and MIT and whether or not I should retake the exam to improve writing and science.

And a composite of 34

Im having the same problem. Composite of 33, looking to apply to top schools, but only got a 24 on writing. I got a 2140 on my SATs, would I be better off sending them because of my low ACT writing score? Hope someone helps us out.

Congratulations on great MC scores. Is the writing test recent? It appears to be from the old scoring system.

I am just checking. If it is 8/26 then you need to retake for Ivys. Otherwise, I would say you are done.
