ACT + Writing?

<p>So I took the ACT and did okay on it and that was with writing. However, I then took an ACT and did significantly better BUT it was without writing. Will colleges take the writing portion from the lower score and then just put it with the ACT without writing? Or would I have to re do the whole thing to get one good ACT with writing?? </p>

<p>PLEASE HELP. I want to know if i have to take the ACT again!!</p>

<p>You can pay to send both scores to the schools you are applying to. My S had a similar result - his first & only attempt at the writing portion was fine but he took the ACT again and scored higher. He sent both scores.</p>
