I just recently took the mandated ACT through my school and got my best score yet. The school doesn’t pay for writing so there was no option for me to take it with writing. Previously I had taken an ACT with writing but didn’t get a good score overall. Can I send in the writing score separate from the ACT that it took it with and give colleges my better ACT score, or do I have to completely retake the test and hope to get the same score, just with a writing part with it?
No, you can’t send the writing score in separately. Some colleges don’t really look at the writing, so you may not need to submit that anyway. But varies by college.
