Has anyone else not received their ACT writing scores?
Any idea on when they will finally be available?

I’m still waiting, I got my scores the first day but no writing.

I got mine a few days ago

I got mine a couple of days ago. They come out weekly.

So my writing score is absolutely terrible. I have 2 questions.

If a college doesn’t require the writing section is there a way to send the score without including it? If not, will it hurt my chances or will they not even look at it?

I’ve taken the ACT with writing once before. My writing score on that one is higher, but my composite is three points lower. Any way to take the best writing and best composite or does it have to be from the same testing date?

I finally got mine too! I can’t believe i scored a 12 on the essay, I thought I failed! (cuz i didn’t even have a counterargument!)

The essay scoring is bogus. They don’t know how to grade them. I got a 10 on my essay even though ACT writing is the easiest writing in the world. I should have had a 12… I’m an AP English student, I mean come on.

I agree…the ACT Writing scores are really messed up. The essay that I felt was my best I got an 8 on, but then the one that I thought was really crappy I got an 11 on, so I have no idea.

I got a 10 on mine. -shrug- Anything 10+ is fine for me. After getting past basic grammar and the main idea, it’s basically just “I like it or I don’t” for the person grading it. Then they toss it into the “done” pile and keep going.
