ACT

So when I complete ACT practice, I can complete the tests with little to no mistake (even when I do time myself). But when I take the real test, I am so nervous and tense I forget everything and cannot focus. Does anyone have any tips to help decrease nerves and tension?

Hi @anonymousecheese. I know it’s a little late, but I would say that realizing that how you do on the ACT does not determine your life course and that there are so many things colleges look at can help you relax. Also making sure that you don’t cram the night before the test and get enough sleep helps as well as drinking plenty of water and eating snacks throughout the testing period. The ACT really isn’t something that will make or break your application, and you will do amazing no matter what the score is.

Good luck!

I eat peanut M&Ms. Maybe you have a comfort food like that?
