Does anyone know if Vanderbilt superscores the ACT, or do they just look at the highest composite?

Pretty sure they don't superscore.

They take the highest composite

really? i ask my designated admission counselor and she said that they look at both, the superscore one and the highest compositie

With the ACT, unlike the SAT, you aren't required to send in all your scores. Therefore most students only send their one highest composite to colleges. If two ACT scores are similar, than you may as well send both and hope that they superscore them, but most colleges do not do that. As a result, the majority of ACT applicants only send one set of ACT results.

The reason so many schools superscore the SAT is because Collegeboard automatically sends all your scores from multiple testing days. Superscoring evens out the SAT vs. ACT debate a bit, since if you have a bad testing day for the SAT you'd otherwise be screwed.
